When candidate Donald J. Trump pledged to “bomb the **** out of ISIS,” he apparently wasn’t kidding. On Friday, the U.S. military, under the direction of their new Commander in Chief dropped the largest bomb ever dropped on an ISIS cell in Afghanistan. The MOAB Bomb, also known as the “Mother Of All Bombs” was no joke.
Those who witnessed the explosion claimed that a giant wall of sand extended throughout the desert in all directions making it impossible to see for miles hours after the drop.
We’re not sure how we feel about this at the Real Times. Due to this strike, it is understood that some of the worst people on the face of this earth are no longer inhabiting our globe, (and apparently even CNN has the same sentiment as they have been praising Trump’s actions) but as you know, the greatest national security threat is not ISIS, but instead the failing U.S. Economy and the frivolous deficit spending that leaves us vulnerable. In the debt-ridden future, lacking the funds to drop bombs poses a much larger problem than ISIS.. even though they have proved themselves much more than a “JV team”, as the former President mistakenly underestimated them. It’s great to bomb ISIS, but what is the end game? What is the comprehensive strategy? Every bomb we drop throws the U.S. taxpayer deeper in the hole.
As always, we are not entrenched Trump supporters, so you will get a sober analysis here. We are instead unapologetically pro-American and in the last two weeks, we have now bombed ISIS and Assad. Interesting… Are we picking sides? Or are we going after both? The U.S. foreign policy is in an interesting state. One that we cannot yet determine. This is why we stand agnostic on this attack (as much as we like the idea of bombing ISIS, Trump, in doing so, has undermined his stance on Assad). Until Washington offers more clarity—or better yet, finds it for themselves—we shall standby and monitor the effects of the largest (non-nuclear) bomb in the history of warfare.
